No thanks, BBS. I think most people in most countries are self-absorbed, and I'm not sure what that has to do with being center-right (or left, or center-left or right or whatever).chang50 wrote:As someone who has said this you are 100% correct Woody,I mostly used it descriptively, and perhaps to emphasise the point that often Americans are globally unaware and self absorbed.Any regular poster here can vouch for that.Hard to say if that has caused America problems or not..Woodruff wrote:I never took it that way as much as I took it as simply making the point that "even our liberals aren't very liberal". In my opinion? Yes. These days, they're called "corporations" and they are people, my friend!chang50 wrote:Don't the same group of people run the US regardless of who is elected?Woodruff wrote:Indeed.Nordik wrote:So much for change eh?Woodruff wrote:Obama is far from blameless, but the PRISM program was instituted under Bush.Nobunaga wrote:If I had a Big Brother, he'd look like Obama.![]()
He doesn't respond to people who are rude. I think he defines "rude people" as people who disagree with him and who provide good arguments.BigBallinStalin wrote:No thanks, BBS. Oh, you are? I really wish you'd stop doing that.
I can't stop it. They do all the thinking for me, so why think?
I know, right? All you need is one pool of slop to get the whole picture.

I was already there in the RFID thread and the Obamacare thread. thanks for continuing to talk about it. One of these days enough people will care, and then they will ask us "where were you in 2012?" followed by some logic that since you didn't care before, they themselves don't have to say anything about being microchippedNoSurvivors wrote:http://people.howstuffworks.com/obamaca ... ochips.htmIt sounds like something straight from the plot of a sci-fi movie: By 2015, all Americans will be implanted with a microchip per order of Obamacare.
Lol, and so it begins.. the media is always watching, and now the government will be tracking Americans.. brilliant job guys.. evidently you elected the right man....(though I can't say you had much of an option on election day!)
PS-- ask phatscotty.. I have been on this 1984 = 2013 thing forever.
do you know why Ron Paul did not sign onto the articles of impeachment that Dennis Kucinich brought forth against George Bush in 2008?The time to stop this would have been then.Phatscotty wrote:I was already there in the RFID thread and the Obamacare thread. thanks for continuing to talk about it. Impeaching Bush would not automatically repeal the repeal anything(neither did electing O), so I'm not sure what you are getting at. Obamacare wasn't passed until 2009, unless you are talking about something elseooge wrote:do you know why Ron Paul did not sign onto the articles of impeachment that Dennis Kucinich brought forth against George Bush in 2008?The time to stop this would have been then.Phatscotty wrote:I was already there in the RFID thread and the Obamacare thread. thanks for continuing to talk about it. Well, you could try looking at the post you responded to, which is about RFID chipping.ooge wrote:oops I am,I thought this was still about eavesdropping of Americans.Phatscotty wrote:Impeaching Bush would not automatically repeal the repeal anything(neither did electing O), so I'm not sure what you are getting at. http://thedailybanter.com/2013/06/nsa-s ... naccurate/3. While everyone was busily losing their shpadoinkle on Twitter and the blogs, Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Yahoo, Microsoft, Paltalk, AOL and Apple all announced in separate statements that not only were they unaware of any PRISM program, but they also confirmed that there’s no way the government had infiltrated the privately-owned servers maintained by these companies. Furthermore, Google wrote, “Indeed, the U.S. government does not have direct access or a “back door” to the information stored in our data centers. We had not heard of a program called PRISM until yesterday.” Google also described how it will occasionally and voluntarily hand over user data to the government, but only after it’s been vetted and scrutinized by Google’s legal team.
For the Ceo's to say anything else would be economic suicideJuan_Bottom wrote:http://thedailybanter.com/2013/06/nsa-s ... naccurate/3. These companies are all intelligent and tech-savvy enough to know that such a statement can only be a "hope" at best, rather than being definatory. This is pure salesmanship.Juan_Bottom wrote:3. See, here's the problem...I never know when you're playing the dumbass or not.Juan_Bottom wrote:I disagree.
If the NSA wanted to hack into google's servers, they'd probably have to break into their offices and do it on site.
If, hypothetically speaking, they wanted to hack into Google's servers with a laptop somehow, I would bet all the money in the world that Google would beat them. Google has infinity dollars to spend on this, and the very brightest minds that money can buy. Furthermore, all of their employees are extremely happy, so there's no reason whatsoever for them to sabotage Google either.
Who does the NSA hire to protect their servers?
Hmm... Sure, the government didn't infiltrate their servers. The NSA simply asked for access and got it. PRISM is one of the many programs involving data mining by the NSA, so it can easily be the case that those companies were unaware of PRISM but were aware of their other similar programs, e.g. the Terrorism Surveillance Program (TSP) and those two other programs (can't find the article atm).Woodruff wrote:These companies are all intelligent and tech-savvy enough to know that such a statement can only be a "hope" at best, rather than being definatory. the two are sort of interchangeable, chipping and being tracked.. who knows what the government will put into the chips?
