It's not a mafia roleblocker. The successful kill was clearly done by a single entity ("a color") so the SK wasn't blocked. This means that if there is mafia and an SK, the mafia failed in their kill.safariguy5 wrote:Yeah, I just can't see how we could have both cult and an anti town NK in a 14 person game. Occam's razor considering the presence of VT's leans more towards mafia and SKer.
Interesting. If we had a town roleblocker, I would think they had a good shot at roleblocking one of the killers and a claim would probably lead to either mafia or SK lynch. However, if the mafia roleblocked the SKer, then obviously revealing themselves would be unwise. It does lead to the possibility that mafia will target the SKer with the next NK as SKer is a danger to mafia as well as town.

Recruiting Mason, it's in the nifty little flash doc, that we recommend for new players.aage wrote:Another thing that crossed my mind was a role I can't remember the name of: masons with someone every night, if he targets mafia he dies. It would explain how a mason gets busdriven. It's a very obscure role though.
Yes, exactly. Thanks.jonty125 wrote:Recruiting Mason, it's in the nifty little flash doc, that we recommend for new players.aage wrote:Another thing that crossed my mind was a role I can't remember the name of: masons with someone every night, if he targets mafia he dies. Are you volunteering to keep track of the botes/boats.DoomYoshi wrote:I just realized that until a deadline hits, we can effectively have unlimited lynches today. Everybody just "bote" you want to lynch and then when we reach a majority that player has to post the name of a color. If they don't post the name of a color then we "vote" them, it becomes official and they get lynched the old-fashioned way.
This is the most beneficial I have ever seen an SK be.
So you agree that the SK is the rule creator and you want us to play into his game?DoomYoshi wrote:I just realized that until a deadline hits, we can effectively have unlimited lynches today. Does it not seem as if the person who did the killing is a solo person and also started the rule? I think at this point, the scene has been analyzed enough.aage wrote:So you agree that the SK is the rule creator and you want us to play into his game?DoomYoshi wrote:I just realized that until a deadline hits, we can effectively have unlimited lynches today. Have fun with that.

Yes, and therefore only the people the SK wants dead will be killed per the rule.DoomYoshi wrote:The point is that we wouldn't be actually putting them at L-0
I thought it was a modkill if the rule was broken.aage wrote:Yes, and therefore only the people the SK wants dead will be killed per the rule.DoomYoshi wrote:The point is that we wouldn't be actually putting them at L-0
I still don't get where you're going with this. Do we simply go through the list of players until someone doesn't die? (and therefore "must" be the SK?)
So then why would someone voluntarily break the rule?DoomYoshi wrote:I thought it was a modkill if the rule was broken.aage wrote:Yes, and therefore only the people the SK wants dead will be killed per the rule.DoomYoshi wrote:The point is that we wouldn't be actually putting them at L-0

So then we would be sacrificing ourselves for the "greater good", even though there is a huge chance you're wrong. Explain again why this is useful.DoomYoshi wrote:Otherwise they would get lynched for reals.
These are town decided deaths, though... so you think lynches are a bad idea?aage wrote:So then we would be sacrificing ourselves for the "greater good", even though there is a huge chance you're wrong. Explain again why this is useful.DoomYoshi wrote:Otherwise they would get lynched for reals.
I'm not keen on getting the death count up. There already is mafia and an SK.

bote aage for wanting to always no lynch.

Doom strawmanning me isn't really a great lead tbh. I assume he's just fishing, and I don't blame him cause there is barely anything to go on.Iron Butterfly wrote:vote DoomDoomYoshi wrote:These are town decided deaths, though... so you think lynches are a bad idea?aage wrote:So then we would be sacrificing ourselves for the "greater good", even though there is a huge chance you're wrong. For lying. lynch all liers. You said aage wants to always no lynch. that's not true and you know that's not true.
So why should we limit ourselves to one lynch if we have the potential to do unlimited lynches?aage wrote:I think lynches are a good idea.DoomYoshi wrote:These are town decided deaths, though... so you think lynches are a bad idea?aage wrote:So then we would be sacrificing ourselves for the "greater good", even though there is a huge chance you're wrong.
