I think having a time limit on a foe would be good. 30 days. It seems like I run into foes I didn't even know I had, just by trying to play a game.
The people who like to foe a lot (I don't have any foes in my account) at least I don't think I do, but for the people who really want, they can keep track and re add to there cleaned out foe list, when it clears on the 1st of every month.

i think it is worth putting in the Suggestions forum... i personally don't use the foe list, but know that it is a big part of the site for many users... it is a good suggestion, but i don't how feasible it is.. good luck..-Jésus noir

People foe others for a reason. Whether it's because they can't be bothered to read the drivel they write, whether in game chat or in the forums; whether it's because they have bad attendance records, and people simply don't want to risk playing another game with a known deadbeat; or whether it's for pure gaming reasons, someone being a poor sport, or absolutely clueless. I see no reason why foes should automatically come off a person's list.

Maybe we should just ban them from the site. Then no one would have to bother with foeing.

Nah, the site is declining fast enough on it's own.

Maybe focus on playing the games you already signed up for, and improve your Attendance percentage, and you'll find yourself not added as frequently to a Foe list. Deadbeating is the primary reason I add a person to a Foe list, as that sort of behavior all too often has a significant effect on the outcome, and I want the outcome to be determined by how well my fellow competitors and I play the game.

Bollocks.
Yeah... Ur points are valid.. But I did say it should be a much longer time... If u didn't like playing someone for reason X, many of those reasons u list would prob be less of an issue after say, a year? Serial deadbeaters are gone or actually play, shitty players are (hopefully) better players... Etc.. It just limits total players and chances to get more games going faster... But I'm not really arguing with you here... I just personally wouldn't have a problem with this idea.

Well maybe have a reminder a year later. X,y,z are on your foe list, should they stay there? Something like that. But even that seems like too much work to update. While some people deserve to get out of one s foe list because they ve changed, I think it s a small minority. I don t know, the good old fashion way is fine with me. People just PM each other and say "hey sorry for that game last from year for being a dick. Please unfoe me and give me a second chance so i can join your game". Pms are still possible so automatic unfoeing even after a year or 2 isn t something I like.

I get your points too. A lot of times foeing seems to be done after petty differences: he called me a mean name, she rated me poorly, I don't like that username, etc. Maybe not automatically remove after a set time, but like betiko says after you, maybe a reminder/question "do you want to keep player x as a foe or remove?" I'd be fine with that. If you can't remember why you foed someone, better to remove the foe and give another chance.

no, the OP is on a ton of foe lists because of his shitty attendance in games... so, he is asking that CC make a limit on how long you stay on a foe list, to benefit him... as in, it will wipe clean and maybe people won't take the energy to put him back on it...-Jésus noir

I foe players mostly because I have found them to be offensive or irritating and don't want to interact with them again. It keeps me from them, I wouldn't want that to be undone because of a time limit and then be exposed to them again.
