8 games, and that's the dice between us. I managed to win 5 games vs him but still in points he's ahead 105 vs 60.
I'm confused here. What am I to do? Keep complaining? Simply take the value off it and stop playing? Or should I come up with a clever scheme to gain points? What if this was fixed somehow? Rank-restricted games, or maybe a better scoring system..
Those Dice starts are indicative of a highly aggressive risk taking player. You took the initiative judging by the considerably higher numbers for attacking vs defence. This strategy will make your play overly affected by the fluctuation in dice rolls. My suggestion would be get used to it, or start playing more conservative.

I had to survive 6 rounds (48 turns) of bad luck, the first game after my little tantrum in bug reports. I was like -6% overall in 3vs2 attacks, -13% overall 3vs1. The only reason I didn't die is because my oponent wouldn't kill me, he kept stacking with teal and missing cards I don't know why.
Game changer when he for some reason let me cash a SA bonus 2 rounds and didn't attack me so I build up a little stack of 7 and killed his 7,1 of teal. and pink had a set so i finished it. I consider myself lucky to be able to kill 7,1 so that's when the luck started to change. Next, i had like 40 total to kill pink and grey, and game was decided then but i got lucky there too, not losing much.
I would've lost against any decent oponent after 48 with my dice stats very very red. I don't understand this. When will it stop? I waited like demonfork and another high ranked player said before, waited 1 day.
I have 7 pages with dice stats as the game progressed, I was going to take screenshots and post them but it's time to bed. The end stats are like -3% overall, which is stupid because I had amazing dice in the last turn, when everything was decided and not even disastrous dice would've prevent me from winning.
I was fucked by the dice again but this time not from the beginning, it was a very close game with similar troop counts until I failed to kill pink when I had enough 2 times and another couple of times I had 6vs6 and 4vs4 I think. After that his troop count started to get little better, but I was blocking my colors to prevent kills. Then I worked out two shots at killing orange, both times with good cards, 3 and 4. First time I had 70% chances, couldn't make it, next time 88% chances, didn't make it either. Since dice had been turning slightly to his side, I was in a very bad position after that last 88% chances shot. That was a winner shot btw, and had to go for it because his sets were comming. So I was about to lose again due to dice.
I'm not sure how to qualify this game, because at least I wasn't that far behind when the oppoprtunities arrived, but I did had 4 missed chances with enough to kill, 2 against pink and 2 against orange. Had I succeded in any of those 4 attacks, it was a whole diff game. THe only reason I won is he gave the game to me.
Let me talk to you about game [game]15463645[/game].
I did not want to talk you about it yesterday because I was very upset and I'm sure I'll sound like a lunatic.
Remember, these are consecutive games, I'm not playing much.
Game started with grey killing two reds, 6vs3,3 in australia, with 1 lost (1,3,1 left), 10% odds, he then forted pink to continue killing red. I then deployed in red in different locations to try to weaken positions and so that I could fort from other positions to red. I managed to weaken the 5 into a 3, and then attacked the 1 grey he left after forting to pink, thinking I would be able to clean NA later. Next, he deployed in mumbai to my surprise, i thought he wanted to kill reds 2,1 in NA, but he also wanted australia. He killed green delhi and then he killed red 2,1 in NA a 3, 9% odds.
Ok. I still have 2 reds, one in madrid and one in SaoPaulo. With yellows turn, I make a 3 in SaoPaulo and a 5 in Madrid. Then grey goes with 7 and kills reds 3,5. Odds 24%.
Combined odds of killing red? According to assault odds it's 0.6% (0.006). Okay, so now he has grey with 3 cards and taking australia. All he has to do is protect grey and he'll be cashing soon, but he leaves 1's everywhere and when he's left with one grey (3) in NA he decides to deploy somewhere else with orange, so I attack 6vs3 and kill grey. Get all the cards. So maybe it's my game.
He broke Australia in between with an attack of 6vs1,1,2 losing 0.
Just after I eliminated grey, he kills green with an 8vs2,1,3,,1,1,1. Odds? 4%.
Next he makes the mistake of not taking australia right away when he had a 3 in jakarta, could make it a 6 with his deployment. That gave me breathing room, so pink could not kill blue with his set because orange was "protecting" me with a 3 in jakarta. So with yellow's set i start working on pink since it's the color is all over yellow and blue.
Luckily for me I get a 3-card set with yellow after cashing the previous round, but it wouldn't have mattered! I mean, it could've but he didnt protect pink at all, he could've deployed or attacked from Rejkavik and fort him or wathever but he let it there to die. I has a 4 with yellow, deploying 5 more if I hadn't had a set, making it 9vs1,1,1,1 for pink's cards. But I did have a set, and cashed it because I'm not risking it with my dice.
So I fort to the same colour yellow with the armies left because I don't care about blue's 1 card. Yellow has 3 or 4 cards I don't recall exactly. So where' at a point where we're basically tied, it becomes all about timing on the sets and strategy as to when to kill the colors with the less cards and troops.
He takes a card with teal (previously with 1 card) , I don't take a card with blue, i ran out of time. Next he cashes with orange with 4 cards, kills blue and has 3 cards now. I kill teal and have 3 cards too.
So, we're down to 1 color each, he has 16 regions, I have like 27, we both have 3 cards but he goes first. Maybe luck will smile at me this time with the sets. Ok, next he cashes with 3 cards, he seems to be doing something else though, because he's wasting precious seconds to start his turns in a 1-min game. So I survive, and of course I don't have a set, I think I'm dead but he didn't actually take the big continents and cash those bonus, instead he cashed bonuses for Africa and SA, so I survive again! And with 4 cards I do have a set!
I work my magic in a hurry because my connection has become a little laggy. I leave him with 20 regions and no bonuses. Maybe next time around he won't have a set with 3 cards.. maybe I will work out my territorial advantage a little more one more round so even if he cashes before me with 4 cards, I can survive one more round! Who knows, maybe he has no set with 3 cards and I do!
Well, no, he has a set with 3 cards, and I don't again. But he went into australia, didn't finish taking it and ran out of time, not only that but he left his stack locked there, so he can't kill me next turn if I don't have a set, which i didn't. So i don't ha ve a set, take a couple of territs, and know I'm good because with 4 cards I do have a set. So worst case scenario is now that we go again to the same go anf forth but this time I am I card ahead, only chance he winning now is that next time around I have 2 pairs and he has set with 3 cards.
But next he misses his turn, so I win.
How many times did this shit fucked me with a pine cone in that one game?
These are consecutive games.
The only reason I'm winning these games is because my oponents fail to kill me. I would've killed me 10 times before I had a chance.
And when it's not that the waiting game thingy doesn't alert me.
Some mistakes he made that allowed me to recover time after time:
-Leaving grey with ones everywhere with 3 cards. -Not clearing blue from australia so that he could finish it with pink. -Not protecting pink whe he had 3-4 cards and he could easily do it. -Not targeting 1 colour (yellow or blue) but attacking both. -Taking cards with teal who was about to die -Not taking big bonuses to easily kill me when he cashed first -running out of time, missing a card, leveling again the game -missing a turn
let me talk to you about game [game]15466923[/game]
For starters the dude begins with 3 greys in australia and one neutral, protected by 3,3,3 oranges.
So it's ok, I work my magic, I survive and survive in the game, manage to make a few moves to put the game where i have a chance to steal it.
Not going to mention all he did wrong this time, I guess it's normal if someone doesn't play these settings as much as I.
But he killed my red with 4 cards in a 3vs1, that's normal ok.
Then I get yellow's turn, and for a double cash I fail 5vs1. Double cashed would've killed orange, which would've given me 2 cards ahead, then i would've killed grey next turn and another cash.
That's it.
It's just not worth it. I'm done. Give me my ban.
Just remember I'm talking of a few games here, I'm not picking games. Is one after the other. THe exception was vs saxitoxin where I got an excellent drop and something like +2% dice. But I didn't need it, that game was a win even with -5% game because saxitoxin doesn't care.
Next game: slightly lucky with the dice but I didn't need any because my oponent had no clue, al he cared for was taking australia, to the point of attacking himself.
