Is it a good idea to get a diverse range of opinions? Or would that cause annoyance?

I would tend to think its nice to have a range of opinions, but realistically behind a screen its not as direct / noticable.
Unless someone openly advertises themselves (be it race, sexual orientation, religion, whatever) you really are just gathering a variety of opinions from people.

And thats the view point I've always had, I don't care about the details behind the screen name. They are all people, and I'll treat all equally.
I don't need to know those type of details when conversing with someone to get their opinion.

The thing is, I don't. Take a look at my posts. You might be shocked to find that the "always press the gay issue" is largely a figment of your imagination. You may well focus on the "gay issue", but that's much more your myopia than my fixation.

I, for one, would like to hear more from Azerbaijanis, Nepalese, Sudanese and Somalians but none of these countries are in the list of countries that CC accepts anymore.
