Good point. If you don't mind, please make a suggestion in the suggestions forum. I don't think Lack foresaw this scenario. Although, I imagine it's hard to have a bad starting position when you own 1/3 of the board, but I'm sure anything's possible!!

You might be right...But it's comon that someone will get a MUCH better position than the other.
In another thread someone brought up the idea that deadbeats should lose points when they deadbeat a terminator game (perhaps using the last player alive's score to determine the loss). The idea made sense to me. He further wanted the deadbeat's points to go to the last player alive, which I'm not sure is a such a great idea. But making a deadbeat lose points for deadbeating a game sounds like an improvement to me.
