I got out of there just in time, if there's something left of the north ( I was guessing kratos to go north.) I'll attack yellow with it. In the south, there is where my troops belong, and so I've set up a nice though relatively weak perimiter in the Sierra Madre.
i decided i needed to take that bonus so i could weaken yellow and i forted everything there so i could make an all out assault on him hoping no one is foolish enough to break me

yellow tried to break green's us bonus, which is scary. 11 armies per round is a lot.
i am still too weak to attack anyone yet. i deployed and fortified in my french canada region. conflict is certainly on the near horizon across the board. i am hoping it will help level set me with the rest of the players in terms of armies.
After starting my turn I realised I could boldly take Mexico, that was a mistake, I should've taken as much force as possible into Arizona or California to break Kratos's bonus, instead I did take mexico but left myself with only a handful armies between kratos and my certain doom xD
i obliged to red's request for a coordinated attack on the games largest threats, red and green.
I did my part in breaking green's bonus and hope that my forts will keep him off-balance for at least one more round. I need red to break blue's bonus, or blue could start running away from us.
I see that dr3w and kratos are now an alliance so I am hoping that myself, J0057, and klupar will end that alliance quickly. Good idea guys, but now your targets.
alliance is an overstatement. a huge overstatement.
as you can see from my post, it was in my best interest to try to level-set the game by assisting in breaking the two largest player's bonuses.
green/blue had 11 army bonuses to deal with that last round. A 3-player alliance in a 5-man game seems a bit of an overreaction to red's request for my attacking you, green. and just to be absolutely clear, red and i do not have an alliance (unless I missed something, does it say that anywhere?)
no it most certainly doesnt say anything about an alliance in the message that one turn i told teal if he knocked out ur bonus green id knock out blues because with 11 armies a turn u two wouldve won for sure if we let u go untouched basically u made urselfs a target to early u should have built up large armies before getting the bonuses so that way at least when u become the target u have the proper armies to hold ur own and not get ur bonuses blasted that was ur key mistake but again no alliance between me and teal to early for that

i was lucky in keeping yellow out of french canada. looked like he came up just short, but in doing that he did not strengthen, but only weakened his position in the arctic. i'm not sure his defenses could withstand another attack like that again.
i used this turn to re-strengthen my borders after his attack. i did not make a move on any other players.
Now, I know both kratos and dr3w have said there was no alliance. I honestly don't have any concrete proof that they had one or not. What I do have is two players saying "if you do this, I'll do this." There would be something to worry about there as an opposing player. Does that mean they have an alliance? No. Does that mean that I should be watching them as an opponent? Yes.
Also, I've been hearing a lot of "I need to break your bonus." which, on a whole, does make sense in a game with no cards. Whoever has the biggest bonus is the biggest threat. However, this is how I look at it. The bonus you all ready have and the bonus you could have. Earlier, klupar had the Arctic Circle and was poised to take Canada. That would have been a 10 army bonus per turn and not the 3 he was getting. To slow him down, I went into Saskatchewan and that was to keep him from getting that extra bonus. Looking at things now, J is poised to get both Mexico and the Carribean, giving him 7 bonus armies per turn and dr3w is close to getting French Canada and Eastern USA, giving him 8 bonus armies per turn.
And that's how I've been looking at this game. What do you have and what could you have. That way I can slow someone down.

ur thoughts arent bad but heres the key point u missed that gos along with bonus how well theyre forted and blue has become pretty well forted in mexico now unless u make a back attack which would b easiest for u to do green so do it already unless u want blue to win

I do have to mention that I AM afraid of Skippy at the moment, he's the only one who can probably break my right at this time, though it will go at the cost of all the units he gets next turn, but he can do it on either side of my 'perimiter' I do think that though I'm most vulnerable on the Tropics, Mexico gives me the 4 army bonus.
the dice were a bit unfriendly. i was on the fence about what to do there. georgia is not my favorite territory right now. 1. because its a strange threat and i dont know what green has in mind for it; and 2. because it just whooped my guys asses.
To be extremely complicated, I first took out blue's bonuses and then decided that I'm going to do what is easiest for me and not move from a central position. So, we shall see what this does. At the least, it'll confuse a lot of people.
by the way, this game is going fast and i like it. great group of players who are obviously down with CC as much as i am.
my move this round was just to strengthen my borders. i can't decide what i should be doing next and green is making it any easier on me. He moved out of central taking the direct threat from my west away, but is stacked in florida now.
i think it was a bold but smart move to get out of the center. the caribean is always a good place to live on this map.
georgia once again was a tough battle. i lost a lot of men trying to take that. i wasn't able to break green's bonus in the tropics. i think he may be getting some company from red this round in the south. i will continue to try and maintain my borders.
Moving to the Tropics was an interesting strategy, but now I'm moving up Eastern US and Mexico. It will be tough going, but at least there are still some bits in Central US too. It's interesting to say the least.
