Placing armies maximum

Post by killthejoe »

Another excellent rule I have played with in the past is a max placement of 10 armies on any given country for one turn.

So if you have 18 armies to place, a maximum of 10 can go on one country leaving you with 8 left to place. The next turn, you can place an additional 10 armies on that same country if you want, but only 10 per turn.

This helps to control excessive hording which some people like and some don't.

It would be a good option for a rule anyway.

Thanks!

So if you cash in for lets say 55 armies and you need to take out a player for another cash in which would win you the game, you would want to just put 10 there? are you fecking mad bruv? IDIOT!

It's not an excellent rule. You confuse excellence with mediocrity.

I don’t like it.

But we all appreciate that people makes suggestions. Out of 100 ideas in here, 99 seem more or less bad. But there’re always those precious few that are actually good.

What if I luck out with a set of cards, get 100 armies, but have just one territory? That'd really suck.

Just play with no cards. Essentially, that will have the same effect.

But if you own continents and get bonuses, you should be able to reap the rewards.

Yup, without suggestion we won't get any improvements, so hats off for trying.

doesn't risk( i know its completely unrelated to cc) have an advanced set of rules where you can only have 12 armies on a territory, maximum, obviously you wouldn't play this with escalating, but with flat rate and no cards, and unlimited forts it can prevent a game of dicewars breaking out.
