Why dont you all merge your clan with mine? You HAVE to be a next-gen gamer if your going to play super smash brothers on the wii

meh I wish to be leader, but for some reason, some people shun the idea.

w00t, 10 members! If we got 2/6 more members or 2 people do not wish to participate then I could easily set up a tourney to see who is the best in smash & who deserves to lead the group.

If we could get 12, I could set up a tourny in which the winner becomes the leader and the 2 runner-ups become 2nd in charge.

Naw, this is for SSB overall. Not just Brawl, but SSBM and SSB64 as well.

But I guess that's to be decided by the winner of the tourney (if we have it).

this sounds awesome, we could have a bunch of clan tourneys using this, and/or risk...

although I'm not going to be very active the next 8 weeks so I won't even try this for now as I wouldn't have time to run this clan if I won

Well, that counts out static for the tourney, which means domintation can join.

We should all agree on a ruleset for the tourney. My vote goes towards:

-best 2 out of 3 (using 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 7 for finals)
-Double Elimination (Need to determine EXACTLY how this works, but it lowers the chances of a player winning through luck)
-5 stock (not too long, not too short)
-10 minute time limit (It was stated, I think it's done using a watch or something, let's ignore this rule)
-Items are turned off (No luck)
-Handicaps are off (duh)
-The first match is selected randomly excluding Yoshi's Island, Sector Z, Planet Zebes, and Mushroom Kingdom. (Some stages are not suitable for Tournament play)
-The loser of each match picks the stage for the next match excluding the illegal stages listed above.
-If Saffron City is selected on the first round and one of the players is using Ness, he/she may request a repick.
-However, if the Ness player wins the match, his/her opponent may counterpick Saffron City.
-The loser cannot choose a stage on which a previous match was played (known as "Dave's stupid rule").
-For the first match, characters are chosen double-blind - at the same time, so that neither player knows his opponent's character beforehand.
-Players may repick characters after each match. However, the loser of each match gets to pick last (known as slob picks).

Tournament rules according to http://www.smashwiki.com/wiki/Super_Smash_Bros. For Random, use Random.org, as random screws up Kaillera.

Oh... And submitting the e-ticket, which we could do now, if we knew who the leader was.
