I agree. It would most likely end in the attacked player having a nice trail of easy territories to a +5.

The only thing that would be unfair is the random assignment - one player could have 2 castles closer than the other 2... but that's just part of Risk anyways!!

The docks pretty much eliminate that problem. All the castles are pretty close to each other after 3 turns. :)

Good point...

Physically close and actually close are 2 different things I guess...

I wonder what the pscyhotherapists would say to that!!

actually if you read the posts above and if you search the thread you'll see that the map is really balanced by making the values for neutrals different

Spin,

1) I definitely think that there should be Fog tourney involving this map - just not sure that most people's first exposure is also a Fog game.

2) I was hoping to do a tourney based on this map - so DiM, I am asking for your permission OR are you preparing to host a tourney yourself? Something similar to but not with the same abandoned result your AoM Guild Master tournament?

***Turns Into Mom***
We need to stop that random spam argument rolling eyes whatever posts. I don't care who starts it, but I'll finish it.
***Turns back into Coleman***
I'd like a FoW tournament. Preferably assassin as well. You might want a really clear warning in the first post as to how different this map is though before you do it. I was going to post something in strategy myself, although so many of my posts get turned into General forum posts I'm not sure what the point would be. <- Correct use of rolling eyes.

i'd say fog. it's probably the most fun map in fog as for quite a few turns you'll have no idea where the others are :D

yeah i think assassin will work swell with fog on this one and despite the fact that i hate assassin i think i'll actually play a few assassin games on AoR

If you run it like a league having 12 people playing a bunch of games with a point system would work, instead of an elimination type thing.

Now I'm getting off topic, although this is pretty much a waiting tell we are ready to quench more maps area unless something serious pops up.

Yep...Damm this map is growing on me...it is easyer to understand than AoM...but my doubles partner loves AoM so we have to play it... :(

Elimination with assassin is abit unfair...don't u think? :)

if you make it assassin make sure you make it a league or several leagues and put in point restrictions.

assassin is a type of game where an idiot can kill someone else's target and everybody loses. that's why a captain or above will never join an assassin game with a cook.

We could always investigate for morons. If someone's done it before they can't play. Or a point restriction I guess. Preferably both.

And grr, I fell below 1800 again. :x

EDIT: We probably shouldn't get into too much personal conversation here, even though it does relate to this map. We may be alienating potential posters. If anyone has any comments for suggestion or if they just want to post QUENCH! go for it. DiM may try to eat you if you come up with a new suggestion though, but we can stop him.

us cooks have feelings too
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.
