Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I was unexpectedly out of town this weekend, so I'm trying to catch back up!

Could you post the text links, pretty please? :)

Lastly, is simply 'Age of Might' the official map name? Just want to make sure what the name is, before having lack set it all up. :)

I can't answer that one for sure - how many characters does DiM have to work with?

There isn't a set number of characters, but we'd like to keep the names on no more than 2 text lines. (I.E. on the Start a Game Screen -- Age of Merchants, Battle For Australia, Extreme Global Warming, etc)

This was posted on page 37 of this thread, so we have an idea of how big the title can be 13 big chars per line or 29 itty bitty ones.

lackattack wrote:Hi Coleman,

Andy and I agreed that it looks best if we keep the names of each map wrapping up to 2 lines in the game finder.

It's not just the # of characters but the width of each character that matters.

Also each word shouldn't be too long or it will break the layout. I experimented in IE, normal text size and it seems each line can hold

XXXXXXXXXXXXX

or

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

so 13 big characters or 29 small ones.

Age of Realms - exactly 13
Age of Might - 12 more.

so i guess i have to ditch the chapter thing :(

and it would be great it this : could also fit the first line.

like this:

Code: Select all

Age of Realms:
Age of Might

This looks solid:
"Age of Realms: Age of Might"

Should Fit.

"Age of Realms: Chapter 1" also seems fair to me though, if he really intends on making more.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.
