A map of settlesrs of catan. The territories are the cities and settlements. They are connected via roads. If you ahve a setttlement near a hex the hex is under your control. Each turn 2 dice would be rolled and if the hex which you control has that number you get a card. Perhaps it will be kinda like Age of Realms with everyone starting with two settlements. You get points ofr settlements. For each settlement there is another territory that if you conquer it becomes a city and you get 2 cards from the hex.

A "Schoolhouse Conqueror" map, or something similar. I could draw up a screenshot and maybe post a new topic if there's enough interest. Basically, you'd have different subjects be continents (like math, literature, social studies, science) and have territories within the subjects (like math would have basic math, geometry, algebra, calculus, etc.). In addition to the 4 continents with territories (each continent worth a certain amount of course) there would be 4 "elective" territories which represent electives in schools. These 4 elective territories DO NOT connect, and must be accessed by going through other territories, making them hard to get and keep, but worth a lot of reinforcements of course.

So yeah... school map.

either a map based around an 18 hole real golf course (inspired by feudal wars) or one based on a crazy golf course i believe both ideas have potential - if somone wants to flesh them out i would happily help
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

funny because i was just thinking a golf theme would be a great idea for a map! 9 holes 9 continents? i also thought of a crazy idea where you could try to roll dice vs a specific neutral area and if its X (X being a specific number on a dice) u get a bonus army or something = hole in 1 concept. just thoughts floating in my head.
Syndrome: are u handycapped?
Syndrome: i really hope so
mrkaris: well the fact that u cannot spell it correctly implies something.

or somebody could do MINI golf 8)

like have all the armies between where u start off and the hole and that can be considered a hole in one

Now when its possible to play with 8 players it would be awsome with the classic Risk II map.
Many of us veterans that played Risk online for up to 8-9 years can finally get the ultimate map
Im sure newbies ( = played less then 5 years ) soon will love it too :D

Of course i can help out if this idea turns to making map

how about an Empire Builders map? no it is not from a book/game/anythingcopyrighted, i just came up with the idea last night, but for it u start off with 1 castle (kinda like AoR, i got some of my ideas for it from it) and you have to get basic things needed for expansion, like if u take any territory that is farther than 3 territories away from your castle, then unless u have a place where u can get food from (orchard, corn field, etc) then you lose 1 army per turn from lack of food, but if u have say an orchard then u dont. And there could be places for training warriors and such

It being Christmas time and all, has anyone considered a Christmas Map?

Santa's Workshop and home, Elf quarters, Reihndeer quarters, etc... might not get alot of play during the summer but this time of year may prove very popular.
I am serious...and don't call me Shirley.

I'd just like to say that you should expect to see this starting back up soon. Gimil and I are going to duo this. It will have 9 start locations. 5 Europe and 4 natives and will feature a magnitude of small territories in the new world with 8 players in mind.
