So I've got a stupid question:

Post by Dr. Jim »

While playing a game such as Doubles or tripples, how are continent bonuses calculated? Does a single player have to own the whole continent or can it be shared by teammates? If so, who gets the bonus?
If it cannot be shared, how would one go about getting a whole continent without attacking their teammate?

one player has to control the continent to get the bonus... and you might have to attack your own teammates to do so.

My team holds an entire continent why aren't we getting the bonus?
In order to get the bonus for a continent one player must hold the entire continent.

How can I get a whole continent without attacking my team mate?
You can't. The best thing to do is fortify all but 1 of your men from the country your partner needs, this will make it easier for them to take the country.

So then it is possible to attack a teammate. Doesn't that leave a danger for BSing?

I suppose, but unlike an alliance in a regular game, you all go down together. There's no point to NOT working together. And if you didn't have it this way, then you'd never get a continent bonus. And 3 armies a turn forever is a VERY slow game.

Only if it's in the team's best interest. (or if your team-mate is a total idiot)

sometimes esp in esc games, it can be a big advantage to take out your teammate in the right moment to cash in his cards. but it requires much preparing (so that none else is albe to take him out) and the right moment.

in order to win a game it is not neccessary that every team member survives, a whiped out teammember will also get his points if the team wins the game.
