Black Whole Mafia - Closed because of inactivity

Welcome to the Black Whole Mafia game!

When cosmic events turn horrible wrong, you seem to be there. God seems to have reached his noodlely appendage down from the heavens and created a black hole! all of you have been randomly selected to be sucked through the hole and transported here on this strange plane of existence. around you, there is nothing. only a small rock hurtling through where ever i sent you(if you haven't picked up on it, i am mod, and mod is god.) it is your duty to find the scum of this rock and eliminate them as they will you.

Rules, as stolen from an amalgamation of other moderators, but mostly MeMe:

0. This game is modded by me (Broomhead), I am the law. Whatever I say, goes. If I make a mistake, I'll do my best to fix it. If you think I made a mistake, notify me ASAP, but accept my judgement.

1. Votes must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.

2. Please be attentive and unvote, if necessary, before casting a new vote. This is not required, but I’d appreciate it.

3. Lynch will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, their pleas are useless and any unvotes will not count.

4. You may vote: no lynch – majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.

5. The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so.

6. Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing. I will allow a single no-content 'bah' post, but that's it.

7. Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts. Whatever you post, stays on permanent record.

8. Don’t quote any PMs from me. Modkill may ensue. You may paraphrase very loosely. If you do, I strongly suggest you err on the side of caution.

9. If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. If a choice is optional for your role, I will not make a choice for you. If a choice is mandatory for your role, I will make a random choice for you.

10. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.

11. My Day Scenes are fun, and mean nothing toward the game, please don't read into them.

12. Remember, it’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun. Do your part. Be nice to your fellow players and the mod. Make meaningful posts.

For general information, this is what a typical townie PM looks like:

hmmm? i think what your asking can be explained by: a person is lynched(killed) when he reaches a majority of votes. it takes half the town(and much time) to lynch someone. that person has that much time to convince everyone else not to kill him.

if that doesn't help. please rephrase the question.

after reading over the mafia's site and your setup.... it looks pretty basic to me.... and seems fair. I think they have enough time to try to convince people otherwise.

are we just keeping the roles to townies and mafia for the first game? I'ld duggest that while people get used to it

I see what you mean. The way I am used to playing is that 2 players have to cast official votes for player B. Then all voting stops and Player B has a chance to defend themselves. Then once their defense is done. All the players vote to decide if Player B lives or dies. Its pretty much what you said just a bit more structured. But whatever you think will work best, you are the mod. lol
