3 or 7 day time limits

I dunno if this has been discussed before but I am not looking forward to having to wind all my games down about 2 weeks before I go on holiday

, and was just wondering if a different time limit had ever been debated ? It would give folk a chance to go away for a day without sweating about whether their loyal troops are getting obliterated !!:)

different time limits have been discussed, but i dont think longer times have been discussed, only shorter times. But this would be a nice addition for people who cant access the computer everyday.

this could be a good idea, i personally would not like to use it, it would make games too long. but, to add to your idea, maybe when creating a game, there is a small textbox or drop-down that says time, and you could type in a certain amount of hours to be allowed between turns. This, i think however, would be widely abused by *ahem* begginners.

thats easy to control:) you only make vacations available to subscribers ! this will not only boost subscriptions but cut out any abuse by miscreants

...how about 20 days per year ?...also what about a symbol beside the username to distinguish subscribers from non subscribers ?

How about a game mode that allows really short games (10-20 mins per turn). There are times that i feel like playing but all my games are in 'Waiting for your turn' status. With the current system i just join a new game but this only lasts a few minutes too...

I went on a vacation for 4 days. lost a crap load of points. Went from COlonel to Captain when i came back from missing all my games

Tried to recover from some of them.. but yea.

OH well, just means i'll be playing more to build it baack up.... now if only they'd let me use our 7 live serves to play Con... JUST KIDDING JUST KIDDING!
