Better insignia for Captain, Colonel and General

Wouldn't you like to see better insignia for the Captain, Colonel and General rankings? I think Major is the only nice-looking insignia for the upper ranks.

I agree about the captain and colonel rankings. But I like the General's star since it's the symble for conquerclub.

new ranks are coming. they should hav been here by now but they are no doubt just held up a bit while lack is working on the many other things he has on his to do list.

Here's a suggestion for a rank insignia for people who fall under 300 points.

Seriously, I would hope they would change all the generals to have a silver star or something like that.

For myself personally - ah shit! I think I drop back to seargent again the way the new ranks work. But, in the bigger scheme of things this is a good thing. We have too many generals and colonels. Also, a greater diversity in ranks lets you narrow down how good a player is more easily. Finally, it will give Blitz something else to aim for! :lol:

I personally think that ConquerClub should use ALL the real rankings in the Army/Marines and use the same insignia. That would make it more militaryish. Like PFC, etc...

I tried at least. I just don't think I have the graphics skills. One of the photoshop experts around here could whip something up in a few seconds that would be much better than all of my efforts.

lol, sorry; I was just going off the majority of votes in the poll that asked people which country they call home (social forum), which was the US. And... I really liked the birdy they use for the Colonel rank :lol:

I WAS going to use the Royal New Zealand Navy non-commissioned ranks insignias in my post (since I did serve 6 years as one), but it didn't seem appropriate to CC lol :wink:

These rank insignias refelct the ranks of the Canadian Forces. You want American insignia join an American site.

I had no idea that's what they were. I thought they were made-up ones.
I also had no idea this was a Canadian site. I assumed it was US-based since there are so many US players.

Since rank insignia is easily changeable as we go up (hopefully) and down in rank why not make it a competition.

Take the 25 top places on the scoreboard. What ever country holds the majority we use those set or ranks?

That would make for some interesting match ups and rivalry's.

I don't care much for how pretty the things are - usability is more important for me, so changing the Captain rank

which looks a bit too similar to the playing icon

would be appreciated. Would reduce the "Yay! the slowpoke has finally played! Ah crap, it's just a captain.".
