I am quite new and have a question: i am in agme and i notice 4 players and 5 factions... or i count the territorial spots on the map and there are more of them than there are labeled under the map...
are there territories unoccupied by players to make starting chances fair(1 faction doesnt have 1 more lterritory than another)

On the maps you are playing it is this. The "white" colored troops are "Neutral." They simply occupy space and can be eliminated the same way as those of other players. They are appear on any leftover territoties when the number doesn not divide evenly amoung all players at the game start. Some maps have terrtitories that always start as Neutral for gameplay reasons. One some maps this can include nearly all of the map.
The neutral territories don't attack, don't get deployed troops, nada. You can attack them, of course, and they will roll defending dice, but that's it. Of course, read about killer neutrals. That's very important, unless you want your 30 stack to suddenly disappear at the beginning of your next turn.

But i had this thing, that white guy deployed 16 troops on 1 spot(manual deploying) and next turn whole south america and half of north america was whites... if i remember correctly...
I've checked out the games you've played, and there is only one manual deployment game... And there were five players in it. [game]12368330[/game] It's fog of war, though, so we won't be able to see any territories. Is this the game you're talking about?

There are two different things are appear as "white". If it a white number then it is a neutral territory which just sits there. If it is a ? then you are in a game with Fog of War. All that a ? means is that you cannot see that terrtitory. (Because none of your territories are next to it.) So, one of the other regular players took over that territory, becuase of Fog you cannot see who it was or how many troops they have there so it is displayed as a ?

[game]12368330[/game]2013-02-25 14:19:49 - tosson was kicked out for missing too many turns in round - 3 When someone gets [kicked] all his troops turn neutral aka white

Unless you are playing Terminator. Then the troops stay the color they were, but they will still act as neutral troops.
