What would you like to see added to CC?

Post by soundout9 »

I know this is under SUGESTIONS....but i just want them under my own thread. Maybe i can help get some of these boosted into production.

The number one thing i would like to see the most....
Greasemonkey script just built in so you dont have to download it or whatever. I still cant figure out how to do it so i think it should be a option to have it or not along with all the other plug-ins and add-ons.

Non premium members have access to at least join speed games. (Yes yes, the recent thing with that voting contest or whatever I got access to make 2 speed games if I so choose. That was nice of the admins. Thank you admins! :))

But I think everyone should be able to join them. I don't mind not being able to make them; I can live with it. But joining them would be really awesome. :)

it would be great if you couldn't join a game where a player that is on your ignore list is already in that game before you but doesn't have you on their ignore list. Ignore list should automatically put you on their ignore list as well. i come across that way too often where that same player makes the same bad plays that got him on the ignore list to begin with......

Consider how much time it would take to rewrite the plug-in into the game engine, and the extra resources it would use. Then consider how long it takes you to download it yourself. I'd really like a robot that will go to the fridge and get drinks for me, but the drink tastes the same whether I get it myself or not.

I would like to see a timer for amount of time left to take your turn visable on the "My Games" page.

Anyone else out there feel that way?

As we add more and more maps maybe a different ways of searching through maps beside alphabetical order. Headings for concept maps and geography based maps. Or Continents vs. countries. Or the option of ranking the maps differently like by introduction date or popularity. You could rank maps by size. Or a sweet way to list maps would be by complexity Doodle Earth would be at the top and Crosswords/Age of Merchants would be at the bottom.

'Save your search' in game finder. So that it remembers your search options.

Currently you have to go through all the options, like that you seriously DONT want adjacent fortifications, or no-cards, leave out all the maps-that-suck, only public games, etc, etc.

If it just remembered that then searching would be smoother. Doesn't hog server resources that much either as it could be implemented with a cookie.

Wait, scratch the cookie idea because then you'd never see new maps. So maybe the map selection should be reversed then: Select the maps you DONT want. This way new maps will show up.

Or keep it in your user record on the server, then it can be coded to always show new maps for as long as they're deemed 'new', or until specifically left out in a search by the user.

Allow freemiums to join speed games. Or at least hold more "vote for this and get x speed games"

Fully agreed to that.. I would like to try a speed game.

I voted like 6 times for CC on the election.

I don't get this negativity sometimes that site members express against other site members who are of a different member type. Making money is one thing, but building 'a community' is potentially just as beneficial.

I seriously doubt that Lack made this site just so he can earn money. Just because we haven't payed doesn't matter we are waste of bandwidth. There are a lot of freemiums here, not everyone wants to pay for an online site and everyone started as freemium. If you don't give enough priviliges to freemiums and just have lots of nagware then the potential premiums will leave with disappointment when they could've had a lot of fun and payed sometime later.

What I'm trying to say: Don't forget about us freemiums!

Wouldn't the best thing, but... It would be really nice if our games could be sorted by the amount of time left we have to take our turns. This would be brilliant if you're rushed to do something and started one too many games.

The complexity rankings is too subjective and frankly wouldn't be worth the time someone puts into it. Although a ranking of any sort would be nice. It would be cool to order them by most played. So my number 1 would be World 2.1, and my number last would be Crosswords (never played).

better record keeping

ability to search your games into more detail

example

how many games you won/lost on each map
record vs a certain player
your 2 player win/lost ratio
your 3 player win/lost ratio

etc
