Should Map be Revealed at end of Fog of War Assassin Game?

Post by Cronus »

I think it should. What harm would it do? I would like to see how close I was and how the map looked, where people had hidden armies etc...

Isn't the map all one color by the end?

No, it's up to you to figure out where your target is, even if that means trading off info/kills with other players. You shouldn't find out if you didn't do the work to find out.

I don't think he means during the game, but after to measure your success and learn from the game and say "Damnit, i could have won seven rounds ago, but I failed and he traded in cards next time through."

There is absolutely no harm for a post-game revel, imho.

Playing a basic fog 'o war game to try it out, and I'm digging it. I'd say yes - end of assassin map reveal would be a plus. Even if there are no learning points to take away, it will quench the insane curiosity.

Make it for all gametypes!

It's by far the most useful in Assassin, but it'd be nice in other types too, like team games. It's mostly for the benefit of posterity though - after a game ends, the only person who can see your victory are the players in it! I love going back to look at games.

But yeah, I'm glad to see your ahead of the curve on this lack. Thanks

if you wanna pass the time, make a redundant pole so people can vote yes or no while they wait till lack comes in December with a Christmas present for the site
