Post by bxball »

-at my school's library so I have a super slow connection speed on my laptop
-could possibly be the unluckiest player to every play on CC (no seriously)
-i either win 7 points or lose 30.. no equity in playing a chef

I'm about to lose to a complete donkey that i should have never joined up with.

Stop thinking so highly of yourself, you're a cook not a chef. :P

its not possible to either win 7 pts or lose 30 against the same person...you'd have to lose more than 40 to win less than 10.

Personally I like to play a mix of people in the same game. The only rank that I actually avoid is the Question Mark, though sometimes if they've completed some games then it's okay. And Question Marks are actually worth more points than Cookies are.

So I think it's good to have some lower ranked players in there, makes for more exciting games. "Cookies & Captains -- the perfect mix for gaining a bucket of points!" that's what I always say.

And you can mess with their heads. Like when a Captain tries a blocking move in Escalating towards Australia, you say stuff like "Oooh, Captain Red is moving in on your turf there Cookie..! I sure hope you have cards or your ass is toast!" Captains get upset at that, I love it.

Then afterwards I say stuff like:

"Awesome moves there Cookie, weakening Teal in S. America and getting his glorious 2-bonus army continent!! When cards value is at 20! I dind't have a set, but Teals cards came in mighty handy! Good game there Cookie, throw another shrimp on the barbie there in heaven will ya?

Though the sarcasm is often lost on them, IF they see it at all cause they're usually dead by the time I start my dripping sarcasm.
Alex..? Alexander the Great, my Commander, what's wrong? Did someone leave you negative feedback again?

if a cook is such a bad player then what do you have to worry about?

Well, they do unpredictable things. Which can be fun and exciting, but if higher level players are playing a game they want it to be strategy to win it, not because Cookie decided he can hold Europe on turn 4 in an Escalating game and smashes all is toys into a random player there.

I was a great player on the board game, but have a heck of a time on here.
Does anyone else think that you should get to place your armies after all the countries are picked? I think its very hard to take countries that have 3 on them, when your attacking with 6, especially when you get crappy dice. This leads to desperation on my part if I lose such a battle and I end up attacking 3 against 3 to get my card. Any thoughts on this appreciated.
Thanks Future Cook.... LOL

   :!:

do you people realy put that much on your ranks? I come here to play some good games of risk with however wants to play, on whatever settings they want. it's no big deal. I'd probably have a much better rank if I stuck to settings and maps I'm good at, but I come to have fun and play whatever game there is.

I'd say **** you, but I'm not a cook... never have been... yet...

I was 5 points from it once! I won a three way though, then a game against a captain.
