Looking for 24 Daring individuals to join a demolition derby tournament!
So I've been looking for a way to make a cool tournament using the Circus Maximus map. Its a strange map but the more I play it the more I appreciate how unique it is.
Grab your car, your helmet, and your b@llz and jump into the arena. Battle with your 2,000 pound piece of metal to be the last car still moving.
Game Info # of Players - Varies(no more then 6 per game) Map - Circus Maximus Game Type - Terminator Order - Freestyle Cards- No Cards Fort - Unlimited Fog of War - Yes
Each player starts with 30 points of car health(HEALTH). If you end a game with ZERO or less points of HEALTH remaining your out! People will randomly be assigned to games using a random number generator. The winner loses 1 point HEALTH, the 2nd place person loses 2 points, etc. Thats right even the person who gets the better end of a hit in a demo derby takes damage to their car. After all round 1 games are complete people will be randomly placed into new groups until there is only 1 person left.
How will games be filled? Great question. I will have a random # generator roll a number between 1 and 10,000 and assign those numbers in the order that people joined. Lowest numbers get assigned to games first, and if all games do not have the same number of players then the games with more people get filled first.

In an effort to keep the stats as up to date as possible I have changed this view. The number before the / is the car health and the number after the / is the number of games that are not yet reflected in the car health(IE. how many games are still active that player is in)
Player - Car Health/Games In Play madman7 - 3 Kilazul- 2 reccentre - 1

Kilazul, maybe you should having a progressive life system, 1st = 1 point 2nd = 3 points etc. with the gaps getting bigger to encourage players to do well, otherwise you can win 3 times in a row and come second 3 times in a row and only have a gap of 3. This was if that happened the gap would be 6

wait, I change my mind. Sorry, too impatient for no cards. Especially on this map. I love this map escalating no fog so let me know if ya change it. thanks
I'll play, but I have to admit, I think I agree with Max too. This could take an insanely long time, and a demolition derby could be a lot faster than that. Unless you play about 4 games simultaneiously for the first round, which would get a lot of people down to low points reasonably quickly. Right now, if you played them all individually, it would take at least 5 games for some to get knocked out if they lost every game.
Assuming that that would take about a week per game (especially considering there are no cards, and very few ways of getting reinforcements), it is a fair amount of time, just to eliminate your first player.
I suggest you do what Max suggests and have a scoring system something like: 1st -1 2nd -3 3rd -5 4th -6 5th -7 6th -8
It's kind of similar to how forumula 1 racing does their points, so greater gains to the better finishers.
Then have the first round be a random player mix of 4 games, meaning that potentially a few players could be knocked out with a couple of 6th places and a couple of 4th places.
After this round you could probaby revert to a one game per round format, because they players should start dropping off reasonably quickly after this.
I dunno, I just think it would make for a more vibrant tourney that way, but I don't want to tred on any toes.
Part of the reason I picked the low numbers for damage and the high starting Health for your car was because I enjoy longer tournaments. Longer in the sense that if you lose once your not out of it, or don't have a chance to win. I hate when a bad drop causes me to be out of a tourney. I wanted each player to get the opportunity to play 5 games, even if the lose them all.
