Welcome to my second Mafia game. I hope you all enjoy it immensely. Let's get into the rules:
1. The Mod is the law 'round these parts. This town ain't big enough for two sheriffs, so don't try it.
2. Votes and unvotes must be in bold. I won't demand a certain color, but these boards can be difficult to read at times (like when you're a few alcoholic beverages into the night and decide to update your Mafia game), so... yeah.
3. No voting 'No Lynch'. You've got to kill someone each day.
4. Do not discuss this game outside of this thread unless your roles specifically says otherwise.
5. No editing of posts, and do not post anything of meaning in words so small they have to be copied and pasted to be read.
6. To lynch someone means one person has the majority of the votes for that day. You all know this.
To7. No quoting of PM's. Doing so will get you mod-killed and restricted from my games in the future. Loose paraphrasing is allowed.
8. No spouting out vital information once you're dead. I'm looking at one certain individual right now. You know who you are.
9. Don't go crazy with useless chatter during the day phase. A little spam is all right, but nothing drastic. And no talking during the night. Use that time to rest up and prepare for the next day.
10. Please be active. Everyone must post at least once during each day phase. Otherwise, I'll be looking for some replacements, and I don't want to do it. If you're going to be gone for any extended period of time, let me know with a PM.
11. No mass claiming. I find it to be a boring tactic. I know you're all smart. Use your powers of deduction to find your prey and kill them until they are dead.
12. I'll start each day phase without a deadline. Please don't make me impose one.
13. I'll probably give each night phase 48 hours. You must send me night actions within that time limit. If you do not, nothing will happen during that night phase, obviously.
14. As I stated before, scenes are posted mostly for enjoyment. Read from them what you will. I'm not saying whether or not any information will be included in them.
15. If you have question, just ask. Send me a PM, and we'll chat.
16. When voting for someone, please use either their full name, as they have it, or something close to it. That way I don't get confused. I'm not aware of a lot of the nicknames around here just yet.
So, with all that said, let's get into the game. Remember, have fun. Killing is serious business, but that doesn't mean you can't do it with a smile on your face. Alive List:
The small waterside town of Port Cranston lay in ruins. Once prosperous, the town and all its citizens were now caught in the midst of a horrific war between two factions, Captain Billy Graybeard and his Crew of Vengeful Sea Dogs, and Sasaki, Daimyo of the Hiroki Ninja Clan. No one in the village knew of the origins of the feud, but it was thought that Graybeard had brought shame upon Sasaki by defeating him in single combat and leaving him alive. Sasaki claimed this to be untrue, and considered the fact that Graybeard was a filthy pirate reason enough to kill him and his lackeys.
Whatever the reason, the town itself was the battleground. Each night, the two warring groups spilled each other's blood while the townspeople cowered behind closed window shutters. For two years the battle waged until, finally, the town's residents decided to take action. They would band together and stop this war. Many thought it impossible, but would rather die trying to defend their town then stand idly by and watch it be destroyed.
Thus began the Battle for Port Cranston.
Begin Day 1
With 15 alive, it takes 8 to lynch.

Who is "Chu"? If it is a nickname, please use the person's full screen, just as they have it. If not exact, at least something I can tell is them, like "Skoff" for Skoffin. I'll update the rules to include this.
The thing about this game i think is that there is no real scum. It's basically just 3 separate groups against each other. So you can't really say "He's scum!" You're basically just trying to kill off everybody else who isn't in your faction.

Lol. Unvote Vote cmckinney that's enough of a confession that you're not town for me
No...all I'm saying is that we have 3 separate and probably equal groups here, which makes this an entirely different game then what we're used to playing.
Hmm... I'm trying to figure out whether this is better or worse for town than a one-mafia setup. There are two ways of looking at it:
--It's safer for us to do a semi-random lynch, because in this game we're more likely to hit some mafia than town (depending on how many people are in each mafia). Furthermore, the two scum groups are more likely to target eachother, which essentially counteracts the fact that there's more scum.
--Out of the three factions, town is the only one without a night kill. Plus, the scum groups know who each other are.
This really makes me wonder how Sentinel managed to balance this game... I trust him, though. I certainly wouldn't take on a project this complicated.

Meh...I've done one with 8 factions before.
Anyway assumptions are bad dito. Never heard of a vig? It was a fairly common town role the last time I played. I dunno if it went extinct since then tho With you're reasoning, the town is actually at a disadvantage because if there is a vig in play then town would be the only faction which can target itself for a NK (assuming pirates and ninjas are like regular mafia and know who each other are).
