Fog of War/Terminator games

Post by matt-the-twat »

I did try looking for a thread which would cover this area of the game in detail but couldn't find one (granted maybe I didn't try hard enough, but whatchagonnado ;))

The Title is fairly self-explanatory, I have an 8 man terminator game coming up with fog of war on. Seeing as it's an 8 man game, I'm not going to be able to see jack for a while and so how do you know when to strike? How hard do you strike? Just any tips on this subject area would be cool thanks, I just can't see myself having a field-day on surely a type of game which mostly requires you to be able to see what's going on around you to be able to anticipate your future moves.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Well about all you can do is remember who is where you see em to begin with & keep close tabs on game log. See who gets what bonuses & how many terts they have, do the math & make educated guesses. (If you win the game you get at least one kill for sure).. GL

My bad, I wrote terminator when I meant assassin. Although I guess the same psychology stands between both games?

Assassin is a different animal when it come to fog. Unless your extremely vigulant you could end the game by taking the wrong folk out.

Fog can be fun but it uses a different set of mental skills

For foggy assassins I highly recommend BOB. It will tell you exactly how many territories everyone has left so that you can tell who is in danger of being eliminated and so that you don't accidentally eliminate anyone. Of course, you could just figure that out from the game log, but it takes a lot longer.

to avoid being eliminated easily, keep 2 stacks that are in different parts of the map.
