bonuses are still personal, main difference varies from map to map.. for example feudal its kind of the same thing, other maps due to the bonus its not.. the important thing in any teamgame is to TALK and not be to self-centred if it gains the team to drop on your partner and let him strike you should do that and not hold on to "your" territories..
any team loves coming up against a team who cant play WITH each other but simply for themselves in the same team.. if you do that you are bound to loose..

Amen to that! Teamplay seems to be legalized farming the majority of time, as it generally seems to be one team that knows each other and works together vs. a collection of random ("Gee-I-Want-The-Variety") low-rank strangers. I don't fault the low rank strangers per se- I generally am one- but it is frustrating to see the teamchat function not being used....
Good Omens: Round II of the Pratchett Invitational has begun

which is a good omen that I'll start another tourney...

Yours,

Check out the callouts forum (and others.) There are lots of other people in the same boat as you.
You should be able to find a decent (i.e. communicative) partner there.

Also there are a couple of high rankers that are willing to "teach" - thread is there somewhere - Bruceswar, Prismsabre, and firstholliday from memory. I'll try and find the thread. Some people may see their teaching as a way to score more pts by bringing the av team score down, but they might just be a bit cycnical and I'm sure it'd be good to learn loads from someone good / experienced.

It's the same as game chat when you post with "show only to teammates" checked.
