Re: Madness (Our House) [Quenched]

First time I've played on this map. I'd like to add my vote to making the DogHouse Neutral to begin with, if there's an update. And if there's voting. 8-)

Re: Labyrinth [21/2] Pg 1/24 BETA

Can someone explain to me how Prometheus works? Is it only the person who has captured Prometheus that can take out someone else's slave entrance, or once Prometheus is captured, is everyone able to attack everyone else?

Also, why is the game being changed to a 20-round limit when the XML was fixed?

Re: Labyrinth [21/2] Pg 1/24 BETA

Quick question - is the Prometheus bit fixed for ongoing games or will that be implemented in the future?

Thank you!

Re: Deadbeater's troops - who do they go to?

It was an honest question, I didn't expect the purpose was to make it unfair.

I'll be happy to go and submit a suggestion if I still feel that it isn't a good rule, but it seems like it would be prudent to understand the argument(s) in favor of a rule before suggesting it be changed.

I've read ...

Re: Deadbeater's troops - who do they go to?

I've read this topic and also this one and posted here since the topic title makes more sense.

So having read all that, I understand where ones troops and spoils go, I just don't understand why - what's the logic behind your teammate inheriting your troops and your spoils? Why should the other team ...

Re: Suiciding - Sportsmanship vs. Strategy

Admitting defeat is never an option.

An excellent sentiment, but not particular practical, especially in what amounts to an online board game. And the fact that the "Scoreboard" is based on points, not whether you win or lose.

Rank means very little and the points mean even less.

Then why ...

Re: Suiciding - Sportsmanship vs. Strategy

You summarized my question correctly. Although to be clear it would only be in situations where I didn't have any chance of victory.

Personally, I tend to favor retribution over saving a few points any day, but I chalk that up to a character trait/flaw. But I don't really have a problem with ...

Suiciding - Sportsmanship vs. Strategy

I've read through most of the posts on suiciding and have seen more than few differing opinions, but I didn't see any that specifically addressed the topics of either a retributive strategy or a "lose as few points as possible" strategy.

I guess my own confusion comes from trying to understand what ...

I had similar experiences on Firefox and so I tried in on my IE, and that was better. The problem, for me at least, seems to be the extra toolbars on Firefox that was responsible for pushing much of the map off the visible page. But not all of it, there was still some off screen. Making the browser ...

Signing up for Doubles/Triples games with a team?

I went through the forums and FAQs but I couldn't find an answer.

Is there some way to sign up for a doubles or triples game and designate your teammate(s)? I didn't know if it was just a question of all being online at the same time.

I expect that I could create a Private game and post on ...

How do I transfer a country to a teammate?

I'm brand new, so I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I'm under the impression you can transfer a country to a teammate, but I can't find directions as to how to do that.

Thanks!
