I know discussion of the dice has been around forever. I've read the posts about streaks, odds with various numbered troops v various numbered troops, and the brazillion to one chances of winning/losing. This has been hashed over again and again.
But .... since success and failure in this game is so extremely dependent on the rolls (exclude the skill part for now) I have a query that my non-mathematical brain can't cipher.
In my opinion, the outcome of the first roll of an attack really sets the tone of the move. Especially early in the game where you are just trying to grab just one territory for a card or position. You know those 6v3 attacks. Actually it breaks down to a three die v two die as most attacks really are. At least that's how I look at it.
What seems like too many times (although probably not) I lose two on the first roll. Now its 4v3. Kills me. Really takes my meager optimism to grab a card and turns it into the anguish of taking another chance and maybe losing again thus making my position even weaker than before I started.
So my question is to all you math/odds whizzes ... what are the odds in a 3 v 2 for the various results? I gotta have some feeling of success of failure.
