I do think a "newsletter" or at least mailing list of some sort might not be a bad idea
the only downside would be complaints of spam
How about a usergroup?
Important Tournament Notice
The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.
I'd love to see a Callouts thread, I just can't make one myself with any hope of keeping it updated. If anyone wants to undertake that, more power to ya!
I love this suggestion... this type of idea is one of the reasons I love Same Time Risk in the Risk 2 computer game. I think that this suggestion would add a lot of potential strategy to the site

If no one has done it by this weekend, I'll put one up. I just have midterms Thursday, and Friday...

For now keep an eye on this thread, and jump in the next game to see how it plays!
Multiple turns to build up a solid defense against an oncoming rush.
No: "turn-in for 50 dudes and storm across the board" for the win...
The only downside to this would be that a game may take long in the end. If not being UN-WINNABLE due to someone attacking one and someone retreating one every turn. You'd really have to use your brain to try and corner someone.
None-the-less, my name's Jester and I support this idea.

Multiple turns to get across a map.

In my experience from test games, they start much slower, but they tend to not get stalled like UA games do.Without worrying about storm attacks, players tend to keep game always rolling, and approaching the end.
Again... What happens in the end-game when someone is attacking a defender and moves forwards one space, and the defender attacks backwards on their turn moving away one space?
I can easily see this happening on 75% or more of the maps on CC. It would be endless. <--- This is of course assuming the game is not lopsided, in that case it doesn't matter anyways. I'm talking a normal at least somewhat balanced game.
